Reflections of 2022!

The most event that I have remembered from 2022 the most was CAMP! The reason why I remember it so clearly was because I had a really good time eating tasty deserts and going through the Burma trail!

The event that I enjoyed the most was walking up the Mangawhai cliff walk!  We went all the way up to the top, it was a great view. I also enjoyed exploring the cool rock-pools down by the sea! there were lots of cool sea life.

What I enjoyed about it was getting to hold starfishes and getting to see alot of cool sea animals! It was my first time holding a star fish, felt so weird and rough it was exciting. I also learned that they’re eyes aren’t in the center of it’s body!

The subjects that I have made improvements in were maths because I got to learn alot more stuff that I never really knew for ages! It was exciting getting to know that i’m learning more and more each day.

I’ve made alot of new friendships throughout the year too, I decided to work with other people that I usually don’t work with! Instead of working with the same person over and over again. I am proud that I made alot of friends this year!

The responsibility’s I have completed are being a good leader and being a sports room monitor person! I’ve also completed being the best me this year!

I thought that getting a responsibility to make some fun games for little juniors to play was awesome! I also thought that getting the opportunity to set up games and have fun during lunch play was cool and fun at the same time!

The sport that I have participated in this year was netball! I really love the fact that I got an opportunity to join in the netball team, if I hadn’t I wouldn’t be able to experience what it was like getting to play netball against other teams! It was the best moment.

I also participated in basketball zones! I wanted to try new things and it was an awesome choice! I was nervous at first but then I didn’t want to leave the stadium.

I would like to share things about my 2022! I loved making new friends and getting to know them as we work together. Something I loved about 2022 was being at school learning new things.

Here are some photo’s relevant to my writing!

Nz History of Parihaka

Kia-Ora Edu-bloggers, on Wednesday of November we started making head-bands to represent Parihaka on the 4th of November! The only colors we were adding onto our head bands were black and white, we also added patterns to our head bands but before we colored some patterns with white we had to measure the width of our heads are then after we finished we joined the two ends together with double sided tape and made a head bands, but we weren’t finished just yet. We had to add 2 or 3 feathers to stick with masking tape on the inside so that they could stand out.

We came to school on the 4th of November wearing white to represent Parihaka and because it also shows a sign of peace. Land was taken in the 1860’s from many Maori tribes! People of Parihaka wore white plume (feathers) To represent peace to the other people. Instead of creating violence they decided to greet the people that had come to take they’re land, they had kindly said no and did no violence.

Here’s a picture of me wearing my Head-band!

The black-ferns!

Kia-ora edu-bloggers! Did you know that the Black Ferns game is in Japan? They are in the quarter final! In class we all wrote a letter to all the black ferns! It was exciting because they got to see what we wanted to say to them. I also can’t believe that the men’s rugby game is starting 40 minutes before the woman’s rugby game! One thing I didn’t know was that a person from our school is related to one of the Black Ferns! Her name is  Sylvia Brunt! She also came to Waikowhai Primary School

↩ Heres a photo of match schedule!

The Awesome Museum Trip!

Kia-ora edu bloggers! This week on the 17th of October the whole syndicate went to the Auckland Museum! It was the year 4s 5s and 6s that went. We were all divided into groups of 3 and some groups were divided into 4! We all traveled to the Auckland Museum on 2 bus’s, of course there were a lot of people coming. I was in a group of 4 people including me! When we got out of the bus we were welcomed by a guy named Tom, he explained all the rules to us kids and to the adults. When I entered into the huge museum I felt happy because it was my first time!

Volleyball practice at school

Volleyball practice at school!!

Kia ora bloggers, today our class had been practicing Volley ball on the courts. We had to pick a partner and line up on the line. We learned how to do a Serve, spike, underarm over head and more! Also The volley ball teacher told us to practice what we learned, because practicing will make you better at volleyball.

The volley ball teachers name was Tausisi. Tausisi taught us the volleyball cycle like, underarm over head- serve-receive-set-spike and lastly Block. Tausisi the volley ball teacher told us to move under the ball so it would be easier to throw towards your partner.

To get your aim right, you have to control the ball with your mind and focus on the ball. It will help you with your aim. Me and my partner were practicing playing volleyball, we couldn’t aim right. But as we practiced and practiced We Made progress!!                                                              and that’s the end of the blog, blog you later bloggers!
